Hey there!

Remember last week when we explored Perplexity.ai? Today, we're going to peek under the hood and build something similar ourselves! (Well, kind of... 😉)

Before we dive in, please don't forget to give me feedback! Just hit reply – I promise, I read every email.

So How Does Perplexity Actually Work? 🤔

Remember how Perplexity.ai searches the web and gives you those nice, organized answers? Today, we're going to build a mini-version using VectorShift's AI agents!

AI Agents? Think less 'James Bond' and more 'overly enthusiastic intern who drank 17 espressos.' These digital helpers are like having a tiny army of productivity ninjas who never sleep and never complain. Just give them a task, and watch them zip around the internet!

🎯 Building Our "Mini-Perplexity

Last week: We used Perplexity.ai as a ready-made research assistant

This week: Let's build one ourselves! Here's how...

Step 1: Go to vectorshift.ai and sign up for free plan

Step 2: Go to pipelines and create one from scratch

Step 3: Drag and drop these blocks to the pipeline:

  • Input (from General menu)

  • Google Search (from Data Loaders menu)

  • OpenAI LLM (from LLM menu)

  • Output (from General menu)

Step 4: Plug them together and configure your settings

Voila! You have your AI agent ready. You can either run it manually or schedule it for daily updates!

🤞Time to test our creation

Let's try the same query on both: Tesla employee satisfaction
This is the output from perplexity.ai

This is the output from vectorshift.ai’s pipeline

Result from our pipeline in Vectorshift.ai

The results? Pretty similar! But ours is customizable! We can also include our pipeline in any of our products using their API. Easy peasy! 🎨

Why wait? Go try out vectorshift.ai and send me your results. Their free plan is enough to get started.
